Gerbera Daisies
The Gerbera is one of the world's top ten most popular flowers. The Gerbera daisy, known as the Transvaal Daisy, originated in South Africa. It is named after German naturalist Traugott Gerber, a German botanist and naturalist, who traveled extensively in Russia. The daisy's vibrant colors attract attention and add that perfect touch to any occasion.

Gerbera Daisies are in high-demand through the year. They come in a wide variety of colors and color combinations. The plants produce two flowers every three weeks on the average and are changed out every two years. Gerberas are planted annually with the color assortment based on year-round demand.

Our primary growers, adhere to a strict percentage method of packing during times of high demand for certain colors, e.g. red and white in December, yellow and orange in the fall. This ensures a fair mix to all customers, small and large.

Since the color selection and availability remains constant due to the characteristics of the plant, Gerbera growers look to make sure that all colors are sold throughout the year.
